The Lotus Flower is a non-governmental organization which empowers vulnerable women and girls so that they are safe, have opportunities to learn, the tools to become financially independent and the freedom to lead change. We provide safe social spaces inside refugee camps and implement projects to help them rebuild their lives and earn a living. We run four women’s centers for the IDP, refugee and host community in Kurdistan

Our centers implement much-needed livelihood training, language courses, computer training, mental health support, fitness and health training, and awareness sessions and advocacy on women's rights and gender-based violence.

As local implementers, we work at the grassroots level to get right into the heart of communities, listening to local needs and employing local women to implement the programs. Job Overview:

The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of and adherence to logistic and procurement procedures, warehouse activities and provides logistical support to TLF Office in Duhok City.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Carry out packing, crating, and warehousing, and storage duties in preparation for site-specific program and shipment.

·       Oversee customer-based queues and plan and allocate tasks to meet configuration requirements.

·       Trace the physical counts and update relevant paperworks as per standards and requirements, including coordination with Finance department in monthly.

·       Ensure that adequate checks are in place for the recovery of TLF assets from staff at the end of their time working for organization.

·       Ensure that labelling of any newly purchased or donated assets are finalized in a timely and proper manner.

·       Raise the asset purchase requests needed in TLF Office.

·       Contact the relevant suppliers for equipment/printer’s services/maintenance for TLF offices.

·       Ensure that labelling of newly purchased or donated assets are finalized in a timely and proper manner.

·       Prepare asset management documentation including Asset Receipt Certificates, GRN, Waybill etc.

·       Ensure that all relevant reports, required authorizations and paperwork are maintained up-to-date and on file as per standards and requirements.

·       Responsible for tracking, receiving, and stocking all items ordered.

·       Ensure materials are appropriately stored.

·       Manage the repair of equipment.

·       Oversee the management of vehicle fuel, and other fueling data as required in TLF Office.

·       Responsible for supervising and accounting for an inventory.

·       Carry out annual property inventory and provide other report in his area of responsibility.

·       Manage and maintain inventory to operating levels to avoid supply.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

·       Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in logistics, business administration, supply chain or similar areas.

·       At least 3 years of proven experience in logistics and supply chain management in INGO/NGO or private sectors.

·       Professional working proficiency in English and Arabic Languages.

·       Strong computer skills in Microsoft packages, including Excel, Word, and Outlook (particular emphasis on Excel).

·       Committed team player and ability to work within a multicultural team.

·       Ability to manage and priorities a varied workload in a dynamic work environment.

·       A flexible approach to work and willingness to take on extra duties, work additional hours or on weekends as required.

·       Strong organizational skills.

·       Excellent attention to detail.
