Hanaa, 28.Before the attacks, I lived in Sinjar and earned a good living from sewing. I was able to support my family and ensure my siblings went to school – but all that ended when ISIS took control of the area. Our peaceful life was shattered and we were left homeless, jobless and full of despair.
Now living in Rwanga community, I work as a trainer on the Sewing Sisters project, which is giving us all hope at last. It enables us to forget the misery of the past, and also help each other and our families too.
